Training Programs offered by WIT Systems
Value Stream Mapping
Although value stream mapping has traditionally been exclusively used in the manufacturing sector its current application covers virtually all sectors of business. The content of this training program whilst drawing on best practice value stream mapping in manufacture will therefore be suited to candidates from any business sector. The training program will provide the candidates with both a theoretical and practical understanding of value streams. Value stream mapping is the process of directly observing the flows of people, material and information. Its application can be very challenging to business leaders, candidates will develop a set of skills and tools in this unit that will enable them to produce value stream maps for any organisation.
Change Management
This training program follows the theories of the nature of culture and change, ways of analysing an organisations culture and practical methods of managing and implementing change. The program provides a thorough understanding of the major concepts underpinning change management and practical, real life solutions.
Product Reliability and SPC
A good reliability program will significantly improve a companys product performance, life cycle, customer satisfaction and ultimately a companys financial performance. The tools to assess and design products or systems reliability are a vital component of a modern company. The training program will evaluate advanced reliability statistics, sampling plans and confidence limits to hypothesis testing and design of experiments.
Green Belt Six Sigma
The unit is intended to deliver Six Sigma methodology at the Green Belt level. From discussions of the basic principles of Six Sigma, the candidate is encouraged to develop and demonstrate the skills of the RDMAIC (Recognise; Define; Measure; Analyse; Improve; Control) methodology, and presentation to relevant standards in both written and oral work. It will then develop the skills needed for facilitation and propagation of Six Sigma methodology throughout a company.
Black Belt Six Sigma
The Black Belt course builds on the foundation laid in the Green Belt Six Sigma training. More Six Sigma tools and techniques are added with deeper statistical analysis. More emphasis is placed on the candidates learning and expanding their experience using the tools, through case studies, hands-on simulations, their peer group, project presentations and experiences, and through their own Six Sigma Black Belt project.
Lean Supply Chain
In order to optimise their performance, lean organisations need lean supply chains. This course explores practical ways of developing lean supply chains, measuring and improving supplier performance, and building effective supplier partnerships.
Lean Development
Through Lean Development you will be able to identify and eliminate hidden waste. Achieve flow and ensure that your own processes do not undermine it. You will be able to increase quality levels and contain costs through the effective use of rapid feedback. Remove unnecessary variability, discover strategies that reduce its impact and manage risk. Develop a step-by-step implementation plan to incorporate lean principles into your own processes.
