Public Access Area
The opens with the log on Screen (https:// denotes SSL Security) - A simple log on screen with
domain, user name and password
It also provides external links to;
- Published Projects - Projects
member organisations have published to the public domain.
- Organisation Profiles - Where organisation are able
to promote themselves to
other members of the Corporate University Program (This is in place to facilitate cross
selling within Corporate University Program)
- Member Organisation Forum - An area to discuss various topics
Secure Area
All web pages in this area will be configured with the organisations
corporate colours, font and with organisation logo. Text will be XML driven so
that the syntax can be changed to the organisations’ vernacular
Metrics Dashboard
- Initially to show details concerning the
Corporate University Program with the ability to include other performance metrics.
- Dashboard approach with drilldown and trend analysis.
Training Scheduler
- View of the training completed, (personal, team,
department or total), shows +/- six months and ability to look further ahead
- Training is indicated by Red, Amber, Green
Red – Not yet taken or missed / not attended
Amber – Attended but
feedback not completed
Green – Attended and feedback completed
Course List
- The courses list will be searchable
- Selection criteria will be locate behind the screen
ensuring only relevant courses are shown, dependent on access level and the
organisations training requirements.
- Internal or preferred courses (The organisations core courses will be
separated from external courses and always shown first). If a organisation has
a roll out program this can be managed through the preferred selection.
Continuous Improvement Ideas Tracker and Project Search
This area is to stimulate and develop the continuous
improvement culture.
- It contains an ideas forum
(Note: this requires administration from within the organisation)
- As an idea is posted a reminder is emailed to
the administrator to ensure feedback is made to the originator.
- To ensure it is kept fresh,
after three months ideas with no feedback will be removed. All ideas will be removed
after 6 months unless they have been formulated into projects
- Prior to removal the administrator will be automatically emailed prompting
to view the information, follow up and check results
Feedback
This is the area to give feedback on services and training provided through the Corporate University Program
- Training (Internal and External)
- Short term Support
- Long Term Support
The feedback consists of two types, firstly, immediate feedback which
is entered on completion of the service. Secondly, a review by the manager to state whether the training/support has reaped benefits.
Where possible we would be looking to record definable
benefits i.e. financial, resource, time worked, productivity improvement
etc.
Team Control
- Skills / Competency Matrix
This is aimed at team leader and above to show that there is a good cross
section of skills within a team
- Personal CV and team member profile
The ability to promote a team member (including personal CV). This could be
to show enhanced skill set – items which may not be evident in current role.
- Skill Matrix Admin
The
ability to build a team and training profile for a skills matrix.
Download Area – Not course Specific
- An area to hold organisation specific items, this would normally be
duplicated on internal networks.
Course Material
- This holds the course content for
both distance learning options and web enabled course content.
- For external courses there will be a link to the external hosts web site.
These will maintain the original format and not the organisations’ preferred
format

- User profile and log on details
- Training logs
- Course logs
- Corporate University usage statistics
- Training to be offered externally, within the Corporate
University Program.
- Request for any requirements from Corporate
University made directly to WIT Systems – point of contact
Proven Technology
The web portal is built on standard Microsoft architecture, with triple redundancy on the database. Two are held off site, to ensure continuous support.
Access to the secure site will be through 128 bit-encrypted SSL.
The databases are held in a locked facility, access is limited to named key holders.
