Lean and Six Sigma
Lean
Lean thinking has produced staggering results in industrial, commercial and public sectors. Successful application of Lean thinking, provides tremendous opportunities to increase productivity, reduce lead times, lower costs and improve customer services. WIT Systems are working closely with a number of companies and governmental organization to increase their effectiveness. Lean has been described as the quest for brilliant process management. In a nutshell it asks us to think of the business as a series of processes that can be continuously optimised and aligned.
Six Sigma
The term "Six Sigma" refers to the ability of highly capable processes to produce output within specification. It is a set of practices that have been brought together under a single banner by Motorola to systematically improve processes. The Six Sigma methodology is data-driven with a systematic approach to problem solving. It focused on customer impact and improving the organization's profit (either financial or knowledge based) It is a mistake to view the core of the Six Sigma methodology as statistics; an acceptable Six Sigma project can be started with only rudimentary tools. Combining Lean and Six Sigma allows a business to excel in continuous improvement and product innovation.
WIT Systems' blend of Lean and Six Sigma
WIT Systems focus on an approach that utilises the two disciplines of lean and six sigma plus leadership and change management areas to create a Performance Culture rather than a branded approach of either Lean or Six Sigma. It is important that we are able to recognise the existing hardware (assets, processes etc) and software (people, culture, norms etc) in your business before defining your improvement and innovation strategy.
WIT Systems offer off the shelf training packages that can be deployed with or without a Belt structure. We can also develop bespoke packages suited ideally to your business structure and market sector.
